Overcome the language barrier
Last week, I was completely immersed in multilingual expansion.
Hindi, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese… It was literally a “warm-up” for hacking the world.
People often ask me, “Why go to such lengths?”
The answer is simple.
No matter how interesting your business is, no matter how cutting-edge your product is, it can be buried instantly by the “language barrier.”
Even if you mass-produce content with AI or build powerful tools, there will always be words that don’t reach 99% of the world.
If your words don’t reach people, it’s the same as not existing at all.
Especially in Japan, where the population is declining, it’s inevitable that we’ll have to do business globally.
On top of that, Japanese is probably one of the most difficult languages in the world.
That’s exactly why, before creating a business that anyone can replicate, I believe in expanding my foundation — “language” — to the world.
This is my own frontline strategy for surviving in the age of AI.
If you could master just one language, which would you choose?
And with that language, who would you talk to, and what would you say?
Personally, I value words deeply.
They can sometimes be tools that hurt people, but perhaps they are also the keys to unlocking the future.

先週は、多言語展開にどっぷり浸かってました。
ヒンディー語、インドネシア語、スペイン語、ポルトガル語、中国語……
文字通り「世界をハックする」準備運動です。
「え?なんでそんなにやるの?」
結構、聞かれます。
答えはシンプル。
どんなに面白い事業も、どんなに尖ったプロダクトも、「言語の壁」であっさり埋もれるから。
AIでコンテンツを量産しても、ツールを作っても、
世界の99%には「届かない言葉」がある。
言葉が届かないものは、存在していないのと同じです。
特に日本は人口減の局面なので、必然的に世界で商売しなければなりません。
一方で、日本語はおそらく全言語の中でトップクラスに難しい部類です。
だからこそ、
だれでも作れる事業を作る前に、「言葉」という地盤を世界に広げておく。
これが、自分がAI時代を生き抜く前哨戦と考えています。

そして、その言葉で “誰に”、 “何を” 伝えたいですか?
私的に言葉は大切にしています。
時には人を傷つけるツールでもあるけれど、未来を切り開く鍵かもしれませんね。
